This year, Amsterdam Waterproof is turning 10! To celebrate a decade of making waves in the LGBTQ+ sports community (together with all of our sister clubs from across Europe), we’ll be hosting our biggest ever waterpolo tournament!
Get ready for a weekend of matches, celebration, and connection under the theme “Seamen & Dykes”! The theme is a nod to the obvious: waterpolo and Amsterdam are both deeply rooted in water. We look forward to see the many ways in which you’ll add that fabulous twist to it, and show up with the spark that our community always brings!

Sport:
- The tournament will include four levels (beginner, recrea-chill, recrea-comp and competitive) – so no matter your level, you are welcome!
- Sloterparkbad has 2 pools we will play in, tribunes for the fans to watch the games, and a café area to rest and relax.
- The tournament will include two full days of waterpolo (from morning to late afternoon).
- More information will follow on the number and composition of the teams, schedules of the games, and other relevant rules.
Registration: Registration is not yet open. Good to know:
- First, each club will be required to provide the number of teams they wish to join with.
- Once that is done, participants will be able to sign up individually to the corresponding team.
Socials: Amsterdam Waterproof will organise social events during the tournament. Access to all is included in the registration.

Accommodation: We recommend booking hotels as early as possible. Consider hotels near the pool location (in Nieuw-West, Osdorp areas) for more affordable options.
